Holistic Hifz
A Juz ‘Amma Masterclass
The Juz ‘Amma Masterclass is a year-long journey in Qur’anic formation—rooted in the method of the Sahabah: no moving forward until the verses are understood, memorized, and lived. Designed for teenage boys, it unites hifz, tajwīd, and tafsīr into one path of spiritual and intellectual growth, shaping their memory and also their identity and character.

This is not a traditional hifz class focused only on memorization. Our program combines hifz, tajwīd, tafsīr, and spiritual formation—modeled after the method of the Sahabah. Students are guided to understand, memorize, and live the meanings of Juz ‘Amma with confidence and character.
This course is specifically built for boys ages 13–18 who can already read Arabic fluently. It’s ideal for students who may be starting hifz for the first time or revisiting Juz ‘Amma with a deeper goal of understanding and applying its lessons.
That’s perfectly fine. The course is designed to strengthen and refine memorization through meaning-based review, tajwīd correction, and personal mentorship. Even if portions are already memorized, they will be revisited and deepened with understanding, access to the Arabic, spiritual rectification and more, showing the light of the Qur’an in a new, meaningful manner.
We invite and encourage parent involvement. You’ll receive weekly updates, access to optional parent sessions, and the ability to support your son’s progress through a shared framework for spiritual and character growth; parents will also have access to the admin and instructor with whom they can communicate directly and reach out to at any time.
Monday and Wednesday evenings, students will have 90 minute sessions; the Suhbah Circle, where they will further investigate ideas and personalize lessons in a group discussion setting, will be Fridays evenings for 30 minutes; and individual check-ins and spiritual mentorship will occur every other week for each student at a scheduled time for 15 minutes each session. Students will have work also to do outside of class so their learning does not end with classes but rather grows and expands to every facet of their life in pursuit of spiritual excellence.
Students will be assessed through recitation checkpoints, oral and written evaluations, and a final project titled “How I Live by Juz ‘Amma.” Those who excel will receive formal certification and ijazah in Juz ‘Amma.
We offer partial and full scholarships based on need. We believe Qur’anic education should be accessible, and sponsorships have been raised to support committed students.
All classes are held live on Zoom, with recordings available via our online learning platform, LearnWorlds. Students will also receive access to vocabulary cards, audio files, journaling prompts, and more to continue their learning. Phone calls for individual mentorship may also be available per parent or student request.
Submit your application and we’ll follow up to schedule a placement interview and Arabic reading assessment. Enrollment is confirmed only after this step.
We can definitely offer discounted rates for big families! Please email info@guardiansacademy.org

Badr E., High school student, TX
"Ustadh Irslan is one of the most incredible teachers I have come to known. Being my first teacher of Islamic knowledge as a young professional, Ustadh made sure his teaching style was palatable to all the students in the class. Even now, after our formal classes have ended Ustadh is always able to answer questions to the best of his knowledge."
- Abdalrahman E., medical student, TX
"Class with Ustadh Irslan was one of the best experiences of my life. His unique, activity-based teaching style not only deepened my understanding of Islam but also created real brotherhood among all of the students who were more of a family than classmates. He connects with his students like a big brother, guiding us in both faith and life. I wouldn’t be who I am today without his class."
